Hello. I hope you are having a good day. I just want all of you to know that this book is not that religious. Also, if it makes you feel better to know that I don't leave out key details I am telling you: in GoogIe it says that this book does qualify as a young adult book, probably because of the talk of puberty. Actually, have only read half of it. Well, a bit more than half. So far it is about this girl named Margaret who wants to find her religion because everyone she knows has a religion. Her family is not religious because her parents come from two different religions. Her family decided that it was best to just go without a religion. It used to be no big deal; now it is getting brought up more often. Finally, her teacher assigns her whole class a year long report. She decides this topic will be what her report is about.
That is only a fragment of the book though. I will warn you; do not have a child read this unless they are ready. It talks about Margaret and her friends. They start a secret club. For the secret club they each had to make a rule. Some of the rules fell apart, like the boy books. The boy books are for who they have a crush on. They had to change them every week. That was hard because they pretty much stayed the same. It also discusses puberty. It talks about periods and how they feel. All Margaret's friends are getting their periods. Margaret just wants to fit in! She wants to get her period. This book makes it hard to stop reading. Read more to find out more! That is it for today. Bye!
