"The Reader's Perspective: A Conversation with Mara Baker"
A while back, I interviewed Mara Baker. Who is a loyal reader of my blog, an intense reader, and works to make video games. I am just now realizing I never fully posted this intriguing moment. This post is pretty exciting for me since the last time I interviewed someone was in 2022, an interview with Erin Schultz . Now, we will dive into the emotions people explore while reading, tell us about some of her favorite books as a child, and Mara will give some adult recommendation

Interview With Erin Schultz
I interviewed Erin Schultz. Erin has a English Major and used to be a social justice lawyer. She absolutely loves books so I thought she'd be perfect to interview! She also has two children my age so she knows what kind of books we are reading. When her children were young she would read picture books to them such as: Curious George , Rosie Revere the Engineer , and The Book With No Pictures . Acqua Alta Bookshop (Venice)
We were in Venice and we decided to visit this really interesting bookshop. The bookshop used up ALL of its space to store books and postcards with cats on them. I noticed that it seemed to have a strong connection with cats. There were hilarious photos of adorable kittens all around. Seattle: Seattle Public Library
This week visited Seattle! While visiting, I decided to go to The Seattle Public Library. This library is huge and architecturally significant. Level one contains the Children's Center. Aside from books, the Children's Center has beautiful sculptures and art. The big, blue ox in the Children's Center represents the folktale of Babe the Blue Ox. There are other beautiful creations, too. An example of one is a paper mache monster from Where the Wild Things Are ( that book is a

The First Visit/ On the Shores of Silver Lake
My First Visit! Hello! I just went on a trip to Colorado. It had been years since Winter Park had a bookstore but someone came in and fixed that. Miriam Roskam loves books. She hated that she had to drive hours just to go to a bookstore. Therefore, she opened a bookstore of her own. Her bookstore is called Mountain Shire Books and Gifts! It is a tiny, little place but has tons of books! My mom got the very book her book club was reading without even looking for it! ( It is c
